The Civil Service Commission Regional Office V (CSC RO V) Learning Management System (LMS) is an initiative born from the Re-entry Action Plan (REAP) of Ms. Zarah Z. Arroyo, Chief Human Resource Specialist. Ms. Arroyo's REAP leveraged learnings from her Master's degree in Digital Information Management, obtained through the prestigious Australia Awards Scholarship at the University of Technology Sydney.
Developed collaboratively with Engr. Neil Arvin P. Magdato of the Human Resource Division, the LMS represents a significant upgrade from the previous Training Registration and Database (TRD) system. Launched in 2020, the LMS empowers clients and learners by providing convenient access to online training courses and programs designed to address skill gaps and foster career development.
The system boasts a comprehensive suite of modules, including:
- Training Calendar: This module facilitates informed decision-making by providing a clear view of upcoming training opportunities offered in various modes (synchronous, asynchronous, hybrid, and face-to-face).
- Registration: Streamlined registration allows users to efficiently enroll in desired courses and programs.
- Online Courses: The system offers a robust library of self-paced online courses, empowering users to learn at their own convenience and fostering flexible learning opportunities.
- Events & Webinars: The platform promotes active learning by providing access to live and virtual events, enabling users to engage with industry experts and gain valuable insights.
- SME Data: This module ensures efficient management of Subject Matter Expert (SME) information and their field of expertise.
- Learner’s Database: The LMS offers a centralized system for users to monitor their completed training programs and access certificates for verification purposes.
- Learning Needs Analysis: Through an integrated learning needs analysis and online competency assessment tool, the LMS recommends relevant training opportunities, allowing users to personalize their learning journeys.
The CSC RO V LMS extends beyond content delivery by streamlining communication through automated email notifications. Additionally, the system automates certificate generation and distribution, enhancing efficiency.
